Not getting enough views on your Twitch stream? Read our 10 points on how to become a better Twitch streamer and start gaining more views!
1. Get a good mic
Having a good mic is a crucial step in forwarding your Twitch career. Without a mic, you won’t be able to interact with your audience and thus rendering your stream pretty boring. Streaming success comes from entertainment, and gameplay without commentary is boring.
We recommend the Blue Snowball microphone, it is very affordable and provides great audio quality.
2. Get a good face-cam
You know what goes well with a mic? A face to match the voice. Having a face-cam builds the character and personality of your stream and allows the viewers to build a deeper connection with you.
The Logitech C920 is a great webcam for top-notch quality. Most of the top streamers use it so you should too!
If instead, you want something cheaper the Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 is your best bet. It’s a third of the price and still provides a great image.
3. Have a good internet connection
Making sure that you have a good internet connection is also very important, you want to have the best quality stream and don’t want the gameplay or the stream to be hindered by a weak internet connection. So if you don’t have the best connection be sure to upgrade in order to improve performance.
4. Play something people want to see
Try to play games that are not too popular but still have a decent following. Why shouldn’t you focus on playing popular games to grow? Because if you play popular games the chances of you being on the first page of that game are slim to none. Thus we recommend you play games that have a decent amount of people watching in order to build your fanbase.
5. Invest in some channel graphics
One of the important factors of stream success relies on good twitch graphics. This means an overlay, face-cam, screens, panels and alerts. It just shows the viewers that you care about your stream and that you are willing to do the most to take your stream to the highest level.

6. Interact with your viewers
Interacting with your viewers ties into most of the points in this list. It is not the gameplay that gets you viewers, its the engagement and personality of your stream which will help you grow. People stay watching a stream because they enjoy it, so it’s crucial on your part to entertain your viewers and interact with them. Be nice, answer viewer questions, and ask them questions. Try not to argue with people, if someone is getting on your nerves just ignore them or kick them out.
7. Be Unique
Do you want to be another standard streamer? What can make you stand out from the rest? Having a little quirky joke, mascot or theme for your channel is the best way to add a unique aspect to your stream. Try not to copy how other people stream and just do it the way you want. That’s what will differentiate you from the rest.
8. Be Consistent
We have all heard it before, consistency is key! Don’t just stream a few days and then take a break, have a stream schedule and stick to it. Not only will it help you keep on top of streaming but also your viewers will be ready for your streams each and every day.
9. Use social media
Social media is key to gaining viewers, constantly post/tweet out when you are going live to get your Twitter and Facebook followers on your stream. You can build relationships with other streamers and also interact with your fans outside of streams.
10. Use a Chatbot
Chatbots check the chat to make sure that no one posts links or anything else that could be dangerous. They help prevent spam bots from infiltrating your stream chat. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
