Just bought your first stream package and have no clue how to install it? No fear! In this guide, you will learn how to install your package on OBS Studio from the very beginning. Follow along with our instructional video or read the text guide below.

Scenes and Sources

There are two very important tabs on OBS Studio that you need to be aware of. The scenes tab and the sources tab. The scenes tab houses all of your scene collections such as the live screen, starting screen, intermission screen etc. The sources tab is where all of the widgets and sources that are used in the current scene are managed. Let’s get started with your first scene.
Livescreen Scene:
  1. Rename the current scene to Livescreen.
  2. On the sources tab add a new source and select Game Capture.
  3. Choose the game you would like to capture and confirm your settings.
  4. With the initial scene setup complete you’re now ready to add in your sweet new graphics!

Overlay (Facecam, Bar Overlay & Info Labels)

Importing the Overlay to your current scene:
  1. With the Livescreen scene active, add a Media Source from the sources tab and select the Overlay file.
  2. Make sure to select the Loop checkbox before pressing Done.
  3. Resize the Overlay and adjust it to your preferred position.
  4. Add a Video Capture Device source and select your device.
  5. On the sources tab, move this layer beneath the Overlay layer and adjust it’s size so it fits within the Overlay.
Adding your Username:
  1. Add a Text source and enter your Username.
  2. Resize and reposition this text layer onto the Overlay.

Make sure the text layer is above the rest of the Overlay layers so that it is visible.

Adding Stream Labels and Icons with Streamlabs (StreamLabels App):
If you’ve never used StreamLabels before check out this in depth guide.
  1. Add a Media Source or Image source and select an icon.
  2. Resize and reposition it onto the Overlay.
  3. Add a Text source and name it as the event you wish to use.
  4. Press the Read from file checkbox and then press Browse.
  5. Select the text file of the event you’d liked to display from your StreamLabels folder.
  6. Adjust the text settings to your preference and save.
  7. Reposition the label onto the Overlay, besides the Icon.
An Overlay usually requires multiple Stream Labels. You can either repeat the steps above, or more easily, duplicate the folder and replace the files.
